You can assign any number of tags to any file or folder. I know i could do this using catalogs, but wanted to make sure it can't be done with paper folders as i'd prefer to stick with those. Beginning with version 9.90 XYplorer offers tagging as a radically new approach to file management and alternative to the hierarchical tree-based file management. xyplorer paper folders update With the release of the Windows Desktop Update (packaged with Internet Explorer 4.0 as an optional component, and included in Windows 98), Windows Explorer became 'integrated' with Internet Explorer, most notably with the addition of navigation arrows (back and forward) for moving between recently visited. Correct, but 7-Zip has a really strong command line when it comes to options, and this particular folder zipping doesn’t Zip the folder, but rather the folder’s contents. I don't want to rename each of those subfolders to something unique like -, but would love to have that be the name that shows up when i put those folders in a paper folder, so i don't simply have a bunch of folders in a paper folder named "To Do." Now you might cry out that you can already Zip a folder, and you don’t need 7-Zip to do that. within each of those project folders, i often have same-named subfolders ("Exhibits", "To Do", "Docket", "Discovery"). Reason this would be helpful: i have a bunch of different case folders for work. Hi - saw some threads about aliases from loooong ago, but nothing answering this specific question - is there a way to make the folders that are in a paper folder show up in list view as something other than the actual folder name (so i guess it would be labeled alias, or display name, or something)? doesn't look like it's possible natively, but if anyone has a clever workaround i'd love to hear.
